Kiriha is a new, purpose-built Japanese style guesthouse conveniently located in the heart of Kyoto’s sightseeing district, Higashiyama, between Sanjuusangendou and Kiyomizu Temple.

Enjoy sleeping on a real futon in a traditional tatami room, with the convenience of essential Western style bathrooms and amenities. Kiriha can accomodate up to 8 guests across 3 tatami rooms with a Western shower and separate mens and womens toilets.

We only accept one reservation at a time, so you can be assured of complete privacy for the duration of your stay. Our largest room, located on the first floor, is available for use as a conference room or other meetings, making Kiriha perfect for company and school groups as well as families and holiday makers.

Located on the first floor, Kiriha also operates a cafe open to the public, serving the highest quality espresso coffee, locally produced matcha green tea and imported black teas, along with homemade sandwiches, cakes and cookies.
